Soft wheat is used as a cereal for the preparation of baked goods, as well as for the production of malt (wheat beer). A by-product of wheat threshing is bran, which is used for animal feed.
Durum wheat is distinguished by its high quality gluten, which is especially appreciated in the production of pasta.
Feed wheat also has a relatively high energy value. This grain is widely used in the so-called feed industry, as well as for the preparation of feed mixtures on farms.
